Crime/ Detective

When it comes to crime and detective novels, I am not up there amongst the greats. I have read quite a few detective novels in my time, however, I am no great biggie on it. I enjoy watching true-life detective stuff on tv. I have also watched countless forensic programs, but am by no means an expert on it. I was put off reading detective novels years ago by all the techno-babble and hardcore forensic writers. To be honest I just want to read a great novel. The complicated forensic stuff they do on tv is quite interesting, but much of it doesn't actually exist or takes much longer than it seems to on tv. In a novel, however, pages and pages of script that sounds like something out of a dissertation is simply a pure turn off to me. I as it seemed to be the growing trend, I simply stopped reading crime novels. Yet I found myself hankering a little for the simplicity of that old style of writing. So I suppose in the end I just had to have a bash at it myself. If you are a hardcore fan of detective novels, then the chances are you may well not like my old fashioned way of writing these books. However, if you just like a damn good story, then dive in.

Inspector Grizz Adams of the Grampian police force finds himself down in England as part of an exchange scheme when the strangest case in his life unfolds before him. He becomes embroiled in the race to discover the whereabouts of Mo Morrison, a fellow Scot, who mysteriously vanished at a book signing in Bradford and put one of the most prolific serial killers in British history away for the rest of his life.
