I am one of the growing band of independent authors. Being an independent author gives you complete editorial control, and the ability to jump genres if you so wish to do so. Which I do frequently. I find writing in the same genre all the time leads to boredom. It isn’t the way to get rich quick, but I couldn’t care less. I love writing and the ability to write whatever I wish whenever I want. Because I am dyslexic, it puts a great strain on my ability to edit and proofread my own work. As I know this is a handicap, I offer my books at the minimum price Amazon will allow me. The money I receive from these novels goes towards hiring a professional proofreader. To date, almost half the books I have on offer have been professionally proofread; until they have all been proofread, I will continue to offer my books at the lowest price I can afford.
